Panorama                                 Itri is a central  link between the Ausonis mountains and Aurunci, situated to 170 meters on the Aurunci, it also possesses a small line of sea territory. It consists of two areas. The most ancient and most interesting installation, with the houses gathered to form of pyramid around the castle, and sets on the Hill S. Angel, that more modern it is stretched in the lowland, along the Street Appia of which they are still seen signs of the ancient layout, rests of monuments funeral and mighty walls of containment. Of the medieval period precious testimonies remain between which the rests of the stately well visible castle from the road. Other monuments worthy of note they are the churches of S. To about ten kilometers from Itri, on the Fusco Mountain (670 ms), in dominant position the ample panorama of the necks and the sea, and placed the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Civita, destination of numerous pilgrimages and rich of ex-vote. Itri has given the native to the famous bandit Michael Pezza named Fra'Diaovolol. The notable extension of the olive-groves makes of Itri a center of production of oil and olives of good quality, you celebrate with the feast of August.
